Last Daydream

Check out this great short movie, chronicling a lifetime of memories streaming through a dying man's mind. I wonder what he did to make that man so angry?

ps: I was just accepted into a graphic design program at a grad school in Italy :) Champagne time!

Show Me Dharma pt. 2

Here is part 2 of a 3 part logo design series. This is my second draft of the Show Me Dharma logo. I increased the text size to draw more attention to the words rather than the illustration, got rid of the "stamped" look of the lotus flower by making it a vector drawing rather than an image, adjusted the dots and actually changed the typeface altogether. All I have to do now for my final draft and part 3 of this series is adjust the tracking of the word "Show" and fix the colors on the colored version. I hear they may use the logo on the organization's exterior signage as well, how cool to see a large-scale version of my design presented to the public!

To The Max

This is a kid's DORM ROOM. What a far cry from the stark white walls and institutional green tile of my former cell in Defoe at the University of Missouri. While most kids have $20 so-called "vintage" Vogue or Led Zeppelin posters haphazardly stuck to their walls with bits of chewed gum, this guy has framed art and the real deal oriental rugs. I especially love love love his mismatched gallery wall and the extensive textile layering. Many of these components resonate in my own interior design, but with less paisley and a lot more lucite. There are two things Maximilian and I agree on, however, and that is the importance of a well-stocked bar and the aesthetic impact of a traditional and tasteful plaid. I can just smell the brandy and cigars from here.
